As part of an informatics infrastructure which unites chemical, biological and intellectual property information, we have created VERDI - The Vertex Research Database Interface. VERDI is a cheminformatics system which provides an intuitive, user-friendly means of retrieving and analyzing chemical and biological data. The software employs a multi-tier client-sever architecture which dramatically simplifies the integration of in-house and third party components. This presentation will focus on the design and development of VERDI, as well as the use of the Daylight Oracle Cartridge in a production database.
