Motivation
At EuroMUG '03, Professor Graham Richards challenged anyone to construct ``all possible compounds containing carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen with a molecular weight between 150 and 250.'' The need arises from the "Screensaver Lifesaver" project[5], a collaborative effort in the search for new drug candidates that involves evaluating protein-ligand interactions and over 200,000 computers. A distant motivation involves the possibility that an automated synthesis program would be developed and coupled with this work.
