kmodes -NOMOVE
With this option the initial clusters are assigned without moving the modal from the seed position. In the first move a high proportion of points are reassigned.
Even though there was initially a poor set of seeds a good solution is obtained. This is not the necessarily the case with large data sets >100K where local minima may be found.
