Senomyx, Inc. is dedicated to be the leader in discovering new and improved proprietary flavor and fragrance molecules for use in a wide range of consumer products. To achieve this goal we have developed a high throughput discovery platform, which seamlessly integrates receptor biology, molecular design, high throughput (HT) synthesis, HT analytical/purification, and HT screening on an informatics and automation foundation.

Software components guide scientists through the entire discovery workflow by standardizing the interfaces between departments and disciplines. I will give a top level view of the our automated discovery process and discuss how our commitment to automated tracking and workflow integration required a major deviation from the typical biotech company infrastructure both technically and culturally.
