• Templates are completely modular subcomponents that are added via a configuration file.

• They are easy to build, typically requiring less than a man day to develop.

• Templates may be generic where the user must select the field to operate on,

  • or specific with the field already specified.

• Additionally, templates may insulate the user from the database structure

  • via English descriptions
  • rather than DB field names and terminology.
