MUG '01 -- 15th Daylight User Group Meeting -- 6 - 9 Mar 2001

SMILES Brainstorm

John Bradshaw
Daylight CIS Inc.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this poster session is to investigate ways that the SMILES language can be further developed to represent chemistries that currently cause difficulties.

It should be addressed not in the sense that there is a "right" way of representing structures, but more that, over the years, we have become "progressively less wrong" as described earlier in the meeting.

A starter brainstorm has been put together from comments at earlier MUG meetings. This will be displayed as hard copy, around the hotel, for muggers to make notes on, before the formal session.
