JavaGrins is a SMILES editor, built in the spirit of our past chemical editors xvgrins and cgi-grins (grins = GRaphical INput for Smiles). However we have redone the user-interface to conform to those found in popular chemical sketcher programs.

Capabilities

• sketch chemical molecules and reactions and obtain their canonical SMILES from within a browser.
• Map chemical reactions and obtain reaction-mapped SMILES
• Depict molecules and reactions from SMILES strings which may also contain reaction-mapping information
• Easily incorporate this widget in any web-page.
• JavaGrins contains over 150 template molecules that may be brought up and oriented for further modification.
