The full release of Java Grins will have the following features included:

• A local Smiles generator.
• A local depictor. This will help considerably in reducing bandwidth requirements when visualizing results from Merlin searches
• Alterable Depiction preferences. The user or administrator will have the capability to alter the depiction of groups according to corporate requirements.
• An optional security model. This will enable secure access over intranets.
• Extensive preferences on both the client and server side. The client side preferences will be concerning the Grins depiction capabilities whereas the server side options will mainly pertain to the security model.
• Printing capabilities.
• Java Bean. The final Grins applet will be a full fledged Java bean that will be usable with other beans.
