SCARS: Supervised Collection Analysis Using Rank Sums
Martyn Ford
University of Portsmouth
ABSTRACT
A method is presented which, for a given biological screen, enables the scientist to:
- Decide which of the active compounds are sensible to prosecute as targets in similarity searches to
provide further compounds for testing
- Decide which compound descriptor/similarity measure pair is likely to be most appropriate for that screen
All the information from the biological screen i.e. the results of both active and inactive compounds is used to supervise the decision making.
