This is a talk program to run against a merlin server which allows similarity comparisons to be made using different types of fingerprints and different similarity measures. See man page for dt_fp_similarity() for full description.

Currently supported fingerprints are

• Whole molecule
• Rings
• Fragments (clogP)
• No C chains ( i.e. Rings + Fragments )
• Keys
  • where the bits are set by SMARTS patterns from a file pointed to by DY_MERLIN_FILTERS

The talk program is started when the merlin server is initiated see documentation on merlinserver for details.

Access in xvmerlin() is via the Search>ProgramObject menu. Command line access can be by merchant() or user written clients.
