Mariner: Daylight's JSP toolkit

• Only a prototype
• Totally unoptimized
• Currently demonstrated with Tomcat the JSP based web server, from Sun & Apache.
  Tomcat is free and is distributed under an Apache-style License. It can function
  • independently as a JSP-capable web server OR
  • as a JSP engine for an existing web server such as Netscape Server, Microsoft IIS or Apache

• The Mariner JSP toolkit uses
  • JDBC to talk to Oracle and the Daycart cartridge
  • ECS (The Elemental Construction Kit), a set of Java classes tailored to create HTML easily from Java servlets. ECS is distributed free of charge from Apache and has a Apache style license
